Things Sure Are Coming Along

RuneScape Parody Image for Discussion on Gaming Advance

This blog has changed so much in just this past month alone, but I have so much more that I want to change — so much more that will change.

To begin with, I’d like to ask readers for actually visiting this blog. Without them, I’d have little motivation ‘nor reason to do this. The blog has came a long way since we started. We barely even got a single visitor, but now we receive many returning visitors. They even occasionally throw in a comment or two. I love that people read my opinions, I enjoy sharing them, but I would also like others to share their opinions with me. I do this because I love videogames, and I would love to discuss it further with you all too. It’d be nice to see this community grow into one where we can have full-fledged discussions in the comments of our articles. This is something I would like to work on in the growing months, as it’s exciting when people share their own opinions to what myself or one of our other contributors have wrote.

The blog in itself has seen a massive change. Originally, it was just myself writing little bits on videogames. I would write a review or an impression from first playing a game. Occasionally, I’d comment on something else. But now, the blog has a strong focus on videogame news. We have more features now, we still have reviews and previews, but the content of the site has changed dramatically in this past month. You can see the huge difference just by looking at the archive. As a result, I’ve even taken on more writers. Input Lag and Guru Meditation have helped greatly in keeping up with content. As for myself? I feel like I’ve grown as a writer, but I still know I have a long way to go. I’m still learning, but I haven’t really been at this for long. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved so far, but I still strive to do better. I’m not at a level I feel content with yet.

I intend to carry out some more changes to the site. We’ve now got our own domain, but I would like to begin hosting. My goal is to also have a page for every videogame we cover, such as with our Transformers: Fall of Cybertron page. I’ve been working a lot more on background stuff, and have even been studying journalism techniques and English writing. That’s made me very busy with the site, but with my return University drawing near, I’m going to have to pull away from that and focus solely on the content. This means you can expect me to keep more on top of reviews and previews, though.

I’d like to touch up the main page some more, do a few things here and there. There’s still a lot to do, and I wanted to address this before I went back to University, but we’ve certainly come a long way. Hopefully we can keep up this pace and advance further!
