Brand new screenshots of Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto V reveal the modes of transport available to the player. The list includes the bicycle first seen in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
The new screenshots for the latest in the Grand Theft Auto franchise reveal the available modes of transport that the player may take. As expected, the ability to walk to locations and drive a car (it is called Grand Theft Auto) make a return. The ability to pilot a helicopter or aircraft (see: Fighter Jet) also makes a return from our original visit to San Andreas. Furthermore, the bicycle also makes a grand return, something which hadn’t been confirmed up until now.
As expected of Los Santos — the GTA universe’s version of Los Angeles — the locales are sunny and bright, the city looks beautiful, and there are appears to be plenty of beaches to take a stroll on. As Rockstar confirmed in their announcement trailer last year, the countryside is also an existing environment within the game.
Whilst these screenshots confirm the use of five various methods of transport, there are still a couple of more vehicles that were available in previous titles, yet to be confirmed. Motorbikes and boats were more or less confirmed in the announcement trailer, but yet to be seen are trains and jet-packs. Will we be able to use trains to get around? What about hijack them? And will jet-packs also return to this title?
Grand Theft Auto V will launch on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC. The release date is yet to be confirmed. Rockstar also stated that there is more news to come later in this week. Fingers crossed it’s a release date.
