Nintendo Direct shows off the Wii U and both available packages to launch at retail. Nintendo shared the launch line-up for the Wii U and made some new software announcements for both Wii U and 3DS. Release dates and retail price also confirmed for the platform.

Nintendo held a press conference earlier today in order to announce the final details about the Wii U before the platform’s launch. The Wii U will be made available in the form of a “basic” and “premium” package. The basic package will include the white Wii U with 8GB of hard drive memory, gamepad and stylus. It will launch at a recommended retail price of 26, 250 Yen, and $300. UK retailers have been seen to put the price from £249.99 currently.

The premium package will contain the black Wii U, 32GB of hard drive memory, gamepad, stylus, and a stand for both the console and the gamepad. Nintendo suggest the cost of 31, 500 Yen and $350, with Gamestation UK setting the price at £309.99.

Both packages will also include an HDMI cable, and AC adapter for the gamepad and system, and will launch on December 8, 2012 in Japan. US consumers can expect the platform to hit stateside from November 18th; meanwhile, the platform will launch across the EU on November 30.

Nintendo also announced that they secured the exclusive Bayonetta 2, and announced Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

The system will be accompanied by a diverse range of titles through-out the launch window, defined as the period between launch day and March 31, 2013. The list of titles can be seen below.
