Kenji Kaido Quits Team Ico

Kenji Kaido, producer of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, has decided to quit Team Ico.

The producer of the PlayStation 2, and recently PlayStation 3 HD Collection, hits has decided to quit the Sony Computer  Entertainment Japan Studio company. This information comes in the form of a tweet from Kaido himself.

Just last year, lead designer Fumito Ueda and producer Yoshifusa Hayama both left Team Ico around December. Whilst Yoshifusa Hayama has joined British developer Bossa Studios and has gone on to develop social games, Ueda will continue to work on Team Ico’s upcoming The Last Guardian — which was announced back at E3 in 2009.

As for Kaido, his future is uncertain, including whether he will continue to be a part of The Last Guardian‘s development, and how this would affect it.
