Namco’s presentation at Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show conference lead to the confirmation of two videogames — God Eater 2, sequel to God Eater Burst on the PlayStation Portable, and the brand new Gundam game: Gundam Breaker. [Edit: We now have a trailer for Gundam Breaker]
Namco Bandai lead their presentation with Gundam Breaker, a brand new Mobile Suit Gundam game based upon the plastic models rather than the television show. The game will feature a variety of Mobile Suits to play, which multiple scales to play as. The 1/144 and 1/60 versions of the original Gundam were shown battling each other at the presentation, with the 1/60 model being double the size as the size suggests. The title will be available for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, but whether it will receive a western release is quite doubtful.
God Eater 2, sequel to God Eater Burst on PlayStation Portable, was announced following the Gundam Breaker reveal. It is a third person action game that draws many comparisons to Monster Hunter. Released late 2010/early 2011, the original title met a good reception. To accompany the announcement, Namco released a trailer featuring gameplay. The title will be released sometime in 2013.
